West Kauai Technology & Visitor Center
KEDB is the property manager for the West Kauai Technology & Visitor Center Phase I and II in Waimea. The Visitor Center hosts exhibits illustrating the past and present lifestyle of Kauai’s west side. Throughout the year, special exhibits reflecting the time of year, local celebrations, and ethnic diversity are on display. Waimea Historic Walking Tour Every Monday at 9:30 a.m., weather permitting Walk back through time in the place where Captain Cook first landed in 1778 and learn about the history of this unique area. This two-hour free event starts at the West Kauai Technology & Visitor Center in Waimea.
Aloha Friday Program Every Friday from March through November at 9:30 a.m.
Lei Making: Designed for the beginner, this activity offers a hands-on opportunity to sew a fresh floral lei and create a keepsake fabric flower. Poi Pounding: Participants make poi in the traditional way. Sea Salt Kauai: Learn about Kauai salt making.
