Welcome to the Kauaʻi Economic Development Board
The Kaua`i Economic Development Board was founded in 1984 as a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization by a group of leaders who recognized the need to broaden and strengthen Kaua'i's economy. Since then, KEDB has been committed to promoting economic growth across the island by supporting local businesses, empowering youth, and fostering innovation. In pursuit of its mission, KEDB has been actively engaged in various initiatives that contribute to the overall economic development of Kaua'i.

2026 Ka Pewa Youth Leadership Summit
Ka Pewa Youth Leadership Summit is a youth-led, one-day event empowering over 200 Kauaʻi high school students through panels, workshops, and a Resource Fair with community leaders. Curated with youth from the Kupu Kela Kela Kauaʻi Internship Program, the summit centers youth voices and solutions for Kauaʻi’s future.

Nursing Scholarship
Calling all current or aspiring nursing students interested in kupuna care! Applications are now open for Kaua'i residents. Approved applicants will be reimbursed up to $2,000 for covered training, coursework, and travel expenses for CNA programs, nursing prerequisites, and related education. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all funds are awarded or until June 30, 2026. To learn more and apply, click the link below.
