ALOHA 'IKE
Aloha 'Ike Fundraising Gala
The Kaua‘i Economic Development Board was honored to bring back the Aloha ʻIke Fundraising Gala, which was held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the beautiful Royal Sonesta Resort. More than just an event, Aloha ʻIke was a celebration of the hope, creativity, and dedication found in Kaua‘i’s classrooms every day. It was a chance for our community to come together in support of the educators who give so much, and the students whose futures they help shape. This year, we were especially proud to welcome Senate President Ronald D. Kouchi as our keynote speaker, a lifelong advocate for education, economic opportunity, and quality of life for island residents.
The evening featured vibrant live entertainment, a silent auction with wide variety of items, impressive student demonstrations, and a delicious spread of local cuisine, creating a festive and meaningful atmosphere for all who attended. We are deeply grateful to everyone who took part in this special night through sponsorships, ticket purchases, and donations. Your support helped raise funds for hands-on learning opportunities, classroom resources, field trips, and more, fueling the dreams of Kaua‘i’s keiki and uplifting the teachers who guide them. We’re excited to continue the work of implementing this funding directly into classrooms across the island, ensuring a lasting impact for students and educators alike. Mahalo for your generosity and aloha!

THE VOICES OF THE NIGHT
The evening began with a powerful sense of leadership, warmth, and inspiration, as the Voices of the Night set the tone for what became an unforgettable celebration. We were honored to welcome Senate President Ronald D. Kouchi as our keynote speaker, who shared his leadership and vision to uplift and inspire our mission. We were also deeply grateful to have special guest Lieutenant Governor Sylvia Luke join us, delivering an inspiring message that resonated with our community and elevated the spirit of the evening. Guiding us through the night with grace, heart, and a touch of aloha, Mistresses of Ceremonies Lei U‘i Kaholokula and Laurie Yoshida ensured the event was truly meaningful and memorable.
